This post is for threading with tsuntrader anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals to get in contact with him for personal conversations.
[And then he can't just let him go on. He takes a testing step, to see if the flames will burn him if he moves. When his leg is still in one piece, he slowly moves forward towards Rin- slowly enough to be approaching him, quickly enough to not let him keep lashing out like this.
From there, he takes a deep breath before putting both of his hands on Rin's shoulders and looking at him straight at eye level.]
Come back to me.
[His voice is level and sturdy. His expression and body language show the same thing. Any fear he might have had has been completely blocked out- he would have locked up long before this otherwise.]
[The roar's died down. With everything around them reduced to ashes in this instant, it keeps burning, and right now the two of them are standing in a sea of flames. His teeth are slurring his speech if he would have tried to speak, but he doesn't. Mostly because he can't muster up words. He's crying- frankly, he's not even sure which part it's at right now - He just is.
Silver's words ground him somewhat, and distraught eyes try to focus on the red head. Try, because he can feel the beast boiling within him. Burn everything, he can feel his heart thumbing and what arguably might be his "true" nature telling him how easy it would be to reduce this problematic guy to ashes too. Burn everything. Reduce it ashes]
She- I couldn't even do nothing. [Sob] I wasn't even there!
[Kidnapping. Any other possibility doesn't so much as begin to cross Silver's mind. His mind wanders for a moment before he snaps back into focus- he doesn't have the luxury of thinking about his own kidnapping, or what could be happening to Shiemi, or even how he feels about the entire thing right now.
Right now, he has to deal with the very real problem right in front of him. Not the flames, not the danger. The fact that a friend- yes friend, Rin is a friend- of his is really distressed.]
Quit thinking about what you couldn't do. It's in the past. Things could have turned out better, things could have turned out worse.
In the meantime, there's something you can do right now. The most important thing you can do now is have a little faith in Shiemi.
She's strong, and right where it counts. [To highlight his point, he takes one of his hands off of Rin's shoulders- the other one remains securely there, it's not going anywhere- And lightly taps Rin right on his chest, right over his heart.] She'll be okay. And if not, she has good friends like you to fall back on. [But not if you're like this.]
He had to calm down. He's still sobbing, so he knows he has to calm down, but he can't, he can't. The flames are, again, starting to burn him. Some other cry wells up in his throat. The hands at his side, balled into fists, start to bleed because his fingernails just turned into claws.
You can't trust him. You can't trust anything.
I still can't control it- I'm still too weak- dad!
His upper body slacks forward now, he can't even make eye contact with Silver. His flames are still burning around, but with nothing to burn they're just... there. Kurikara is making more sparking sounds, as the seal on it is pressed some more]
...I really think that, you know. I think you're a good friend. You're kind and caring. You want to see your friends safe and sound. You're beating yourself up over this because of what you could have done. What you would have done. What you didn't do.
[This is way too sappy for his tastes. Part of him is a little glad that Rin isn't looking at his face since he knows how awkward and vulnerable he suddenly feels is plastered all over it.]
The part you're missing is that it's okay to fall down. It's okay to fail. Of course, it's only okay if you can come to terms with it and stand up again.
But no really he's just collecting himself a bit here. The flames are condensing around them. Soon enough he's still bleeding, but the sort stops sparking. The flames are only around Rin now, but so thick that they sort of obscure him. He's breathing heavily]
[...And he's said enough. He's not sure what to add at this point. He's laid nearly everything out and open on the table. Whether or not it was worth it is all on Rin now.
Regardless, he still keeps calm and resumes keeping a straight face... Even if he's obviously saddened. Those bastards really took Shiemi, Rin's like this, and who knows who knows how many people have been hurt by what those trees said?]
[Breathy heavy dissolves into pants as his flames consolidate more. His head is still hung, but quick enough, the blue flames die out entirely, leaving Rin just standing there in front of Silver while the other boy's hands on his shoulder.
