I'm pretty sure there was a roller coaster like this! [Shouting over the velocity]

[Hell yes And he's just going to keep soaring higher and higher and higher and-]

[-and he could keep going but that's a bad idea for all parties involved so STRAIGHT DOWN WE GO. Hope you didn't eat anytime recently.]

[The higher they went, it was really only a matter of time. And okay, now he may have the presence of mind to also hold on after all.

But oh, he recognizes where they're at. The river in the mountains shouldn't be too far.]

Take a right!

[Yes, while still divebombing.]

[-Huh? Oh. He's telling him where to go. Can do. To the right!]

[Okay, they should be coming up on it- there. Hear that roaring? Maybe not with the air whistling by, but it sounds like a lot of water.]

[Flygon ears somehow manage to hear through the sandstorms they whip up. Surely he can hear through some air.

And water is awesome, so he'll be heading towards it. He really should spend more time in the mountains. It's pretty cool over here.]

[The mountains are awesome. This isn't the secret spot where Shikamaru found the Nara deer at, but it's still cool. That water sound will soon lead them to a waterfall.

It's not very wide at all, maybe five feet across, but it's still a solid white sheet with a good drop.]

Thought we were in the right spot.

[...This is awesome. He's going to slow down gradually and in a fairly big arc. Let's trying this landing thing again. He wants to go check out the waterfall because waterfall and water and water is awesome.]

[Looks like they're breaking.]

It pools at the bottom before rejoining the river.

[Oooooh. He'll land by the top of the waterfall. Look, he only stumbled this time! ...Now hop down for a moment.]

[Oh good. No need for hand seals. 8|b

Once they're good and stable, and Shikamaru's convinced he'll be staying that way, he goes ahead and slides off to his feet.]

[And the second Shikamaru gets down is the second- ...Wait a minute. He looks at Shikamaru and makes a hand gesture that goes downward like the waterfall, which stops at the flatness of his other hand. Then he takes the waterfall hand and tries to gesture to... under it. How deep is the water?]

[He sticks his fingers up, spread apart like claws.]

I'd be more worried about the sharp pointy things at the bottom, if I were you.

[This is a mountain, after all.]

[...Yeah, that's a fun killer. He'll at least take a quick break and flop down next to the top of the waterfall, then.]

[Shikamaru walks over to the edge and whistles, which might get drowned in the roar of water.]

Never made it to the top before.

[...Headtilt. Really?]

[He came here with Rikumaru, who wanted to go down, not up. 8|

He just smirks in answer to that, and takes a seat. This is about a good a view as the one from the air, actually.]

[Yeah, this is pretty...

...Pretty...

...Yaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwnnnn...]

[He hears that, and looks over his shoulder.]

Oi, oi. We still have to get down.

[He shakes his head out a little before nodding. Yeah, yeah. ...Yaaaaawnnnn...]

He's going to get stuck up here, isn't he. 8|]

[Streeeetch. Yeah, probably, at least for a little while. Silver does get up, but... It's only to lay down next to Shikamaru. It's kind of like having a giant dragon puppy. He's not sure why, but... It feels right. ...Must be a Pokémon thing. Does this make Pinapdude his surrogate trainer or something for the day? Great... Yaaaaawnn...]

Tch. It would figure.

[So long as you're sitting like that, Silver, don't expect him to not take advantage of the dragon cushion. Shikamaru puts his arms behind his head and leans back, to watch the clouds.]

[That's... Strangely fine. As Silver settles, he finds himself drifting off to sleep with a war of conflicting thoughts filling his head. Stupid, this is stupid, this is too trusting and vulnerable and- Does he trust me? Does he like me? That would be nice. He'd like to be...

Yeah, he'll be up in a few hours.]
