Yeah, that was about our faces too.

But it ended better than I anticipated.

It was a suicide mission, plain and simple. I knew when I signed up no one was expected to make it out alive.

Yeah, and? [Sorry, Shikamaru. "Suicide mission" doesn't translate properly into Silver language.]

You really thought it would turn out that badly? [This so goes against his shounen principles.]

You have to expect the worst if you're going to plan to prevent it.

And what happens if that plan falls through?

Then you hope to hell your teammates will make it through anyways. Not that it mattered that time. The mission was a success and everyone survived despite the odds.
