[Has Silver been able to find his Pokédex in the item shop yet? No. What he has found, however, is definitely a nice consolation prize. He definitely didn't forget about the book Green let him borrow. How could he? Green wanted him to decipher something from his father's book about a trade evolution. His senior, his father, trade evolutions. It's pretty hard to catch his interest better than that.

So Silver settled down just outside of House 15, perfectly content to read and reread his father's book ("Secret Earth Arts"? Sure, it gets the point across, but that's a pretty boring title...,) share cherry tomatoes with his Pokémon, and continue to hold his middle finger up to socializing. Until something hits him, anyway. It was a simple thought, really. The concept of Pokémon trading was pretty obsolete without Pokémon to trade, even if it's something so vital and important to him. ...But "trading" as a whole wasn't. Exchanging currency, goods, information, services... What kind of things did people consider of enough value to be worth trading to someone, anyway?

It's a good question, it's something Silver wants to know, and at the end of the day, his curiosity wins out over loathing the idea of having to ask a bunch of strangers a broad question and hoping for interesting answers. Even if he isn't big on people, he's definitely big on information, especially on such a giant Oh well, at least he only has to write.]

So what things do you consider valuable, and what kind of things are generally considered valuable back in your worlds?

[He'll leave his journal open on his lap and start reading through his book again, occasionally looking down at the journal. Sneasel decides to watch all of this from over Silver's shoulder.

Later on in the day, Silver and Sneasel venture out into the forest in search of... well, exactly what they're looking for might be a little unclear. What is clear is that they're climbing up plenty of trees and looking for something. ...And that they're experienced in swiftly climbing up trees.]

She'll just. Be here standing under the tree looking a little chastised.]

Ah. [nod] ...do the nests have to be on trees?

[She's. Wearing a skirt, you see.]

Probably. I wouldn't know for sure, though. [Silver fails to see the problem with this.]

[Glancing down at her skirt-- it's not very short, but it's a skirt nonetheless.]

Sometimes there are nests in bushes. I'll look for those.

[He'll cautiously look Anri over one more time before simply nodding in response. Well then, time to keep looking around and marveling at how weird regular animals are.

Sneasel takes the liberty to walk next to Anri and help her out instead of tagging along with Silver since they're in the same general area.]

[These are perfectly normal animals, what are you talking about. She runs into an errant squirrel, a few lost insects, but no. No eggs.]

[But they're so- hey, what's in this hole in this tree? Silver goes right ahead and peeks inside it. ...It might take him a bit to quit looking, though, because there is something in this tree.]

[There's something in this bush too! Something that doesn't feel as light as insects nor as furry as a squirrel. It feels rather rough, actually! Maybe it's..........]

[WHY IS THERE IS AN IGUANA IN THIS BUSH.]

[And she steps calmly away from the bush to the next one, but not before she notices that he's peering really intently at...at a tree.

...?]

Did you find something?

[He waits a moment before calmly moving away from the tree and turning to look at Anri.] Owls are only this big? [Gesturing with his hands to show the size of the owl he was staring at. It's at least a foot tall.]

[The city is very bereft of owls, Silver. She's only seen them in zoos-- when she was still a tiny. So that warrants a nod.]

Some of them. Sometimes they can be bigger. [...] Did you find an owl?

[Nod!] I'm surprised I even recognized it. I'm used to ones either about two and a half feet tall or as tall as me. [Animals are so tiny.]
