[Written/Action]

[Has Silver been able to find his Pokédex in the item shop yet? No. What he has found, however, is definitely a nice consolation prize. He definitely didn't forget about the book Green let him borrow. How could he? Green wanted him to decipher something from his father's book about a trade evolution. His senior, his father, trade evolutions. It's pretty hard to catch his interest better than that.

So Silver settled down just outside of House 15, perfectly content to read and reread his father's book ("Secret Earth Arts"? Sure, it gets the point across, but that's a pretty boring title...,) share cherry tomatoes with his Pokémon, and continue to hold his middle finger up to socializing. Until something hits him, anyway. It was a simple thought, really. The concept of Pokémon trading was pretty obsolete without Pokémon to trade, even if it's something so vital and important to him. ...But "trading" as a whole wasn't. Exchanging currency, goods, information, services... What kind of things did people consider of enough value to be worth trading to someone, anyway?

It's a good question, it's something Silver wants to know, and at the end of the day, his curiosity wins out over loathing the idea of having to ask a bunch of strangers a broad question and hoping for interesting answers. Even if he isn't big on people, he's definitely big on information, especially on such a giant Oh well, at least he only has to write.]

So what things do you consider valuable, and what kind of things are generally considered valuable back in your worlds?

[He'll leave his journal open on his lap and start reading through his book again, occasionally looking down at the journal. Sneasel decides to watch all of this from over Silver's shoulder.

Later on in the day, Silver and Sneasel venture out into the forest in search of... well, exactly what they're looking for might be a little unclear. What is clear is that they're climbing up plenty of trees and looking for something. ...And that they're experienced in swiftly climbing up trees.]

[A snort.]

Informal as expected.

[She's currently staring at sneasel to figure out what he's up to, though she can start to wager a guess.]

With respect. However you express that.

[Moro exhales, comfortably. Really, action before words is better for a wolf god.]

What are you looking for, boy?

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2011-08-30 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
There are plenty.

[The birds can repopulate faster than you can eat their eggs, so she isn't worried about that.]

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2011-08-31 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
How big do you expect them? Everything about this forest is small.

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2011-08-31 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
[A chuckle.]

Eggs are not even so large in my world.

[Because birds don't mean jack shit.]

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2011-08-31 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
My pups were hardly that size at birth.

"Weird"? It's only natural.

[...Is she teasing?

...Yes. She is teasing you. This is pretty special, Silver. Even if you don't realize it.]

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2011-08-31 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I've found anything strange. I've encountered something I did not understand... but that was never strange, to me.

[It happens when you live so close to the whole concepts of the spiritual world.]

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2011-08-31 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
There is only one strange thing about this forest. But you could not see it, even if it were present.

[Spirits y u no here ):]

Life itself reigns; he lives, even if only in part, through his domain.

No. This place is devoid of any spirits. There is no realm where the unseen and unheard thrive.
