But something's on his mind. Or, well, a few somethings, but it's persistently sticking there enough to be worth asking.

Could anyone tell me about leaders? [Well that's vague. ...Whatever.]

Silver, Silver-kun, my boy, let me tell you about the beauty that is tsundere.

You see, it all begins with a boy and a girl. The boy is earnest! Steadfast in his feelings and his dedication to wanting to seduce the girl! Or maybe he's just Into her. Or maybe he's just talking to her! Really, any of them are okay. Anyway! While eh's doing that, the girl is over there pretending not to notice.

Oh she blushes whenever he does something nice, and she gets all flustered when good things happen but- and here's the trick! [Dramatic pause] She's hot and cold! [Snapping his fingers]

She gives you a chocolate on Valentines and she's like [And there's a mock girl voice for this] "I had some extra so I decided to give you one, be generous!"

You're on janitor duty in the class room and got ditched by everyone else because they had the good sense to ditch. She shows up and helps out, and is like [girl voice again] "I-It's not like I'm doing this for you, I just needed to keep the class room clean!"

You do something sweet for her and she blushes, not sure how ot handle it before...! [girl voice] "You idiot! I didn't ask you to do this!" [and then normal voice] But drumroll please, because here's the sincher!!

[And in the background, Linda the pichu is following sync and making a drum roll by tapping her tail on the table

girl voice:] "B-but... thanks."

[...Yeah, he tuned out about half of that and didn't get the other half.]

...A kind that you would follow.

Why are you asking about elves?

Someone you'd follow. Someone you'd look up to.

Elves don't exist back at home. I have no idea what they are.

Anyway, from what I've been able to read here, not all worlds have elves residing in them, and some of the ones that do are described differently from what I'm familiar with.

What kind of traits should a leader have? What would you do for a leader?

The short version is that they mostly keep to themselves, in their private village, with little interest of the world outside of it. They live longer than humans. ... Much longer. They also have the ability to sense mana, and use magic.

My Pops was my captain and a pirate emperor. He was the best leader I ever knew. Even his foes respected him, eh?

What would you like to know about leaders?

What makes a good one? What you would do for one? How loyal would you be? [Yeah, that... Sounds about right.]

They isolate, can get really old, do magic stuff, and sense things.

Is that it?

[A small laugh.]

My Pops was known as the strongest man in the world, eh? And some people think that was because of his size or devil fruit. It wasn't. It was because he always protected his crew, his sons. He adopted all of us into his family and we protected him right back. He was able to protect entire islands like that, eh?

I'm... extremely loyal to him. Even now. I took his flag as a tattoo on my chest, and I was his right hand man. I'd have done anything for Pops. Sometimes before he could even ask. He was my father, so it wasn't just that he was my captain. We were very close. [His voice trails off near the end, a little choked up.]

Sounds like the best dad anyone could ask for. [It would have been nice to know his father like that. To have that close of a bond with him. To be able to trust him and fight by his side. ...Is his father like that with his team? Of course, even if he is...]

...Did something happen to him?

He was.

It's a long story, but the short version is he died in a war. He was seventy-two as it was, anyway, eh? So at least he went out the way he lived; larger than life.
